Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
In short: PC Pocket has no servers and no accounts. Your data goes only between your own PC and your own phone, on your own network. We don't collect it, see it, sell it or share it.
Who this covers
This policy covers PC Pocket: the Windows app (PC Pocket.exe and its background agent), the Android app, and the PC Pocket browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Brave.
No servers, no tracking
- There is no PC Pocket server. Your phone connects straight to your PC over your local network.
- PC Pocket has no analytics, no ads, no crash reporting and no tracking of any kind.
- You don't make an account, and we never receive your name, email or any other details.
What the browser extension uses, and why
The extension only talks to the PC Pocket app on the same computer (127.0.0.1). It never sends anything to the internet itself. It uses the following only when you use the Browser feature from your phone:
- Your open tabs (titles and addresses), so your phone can list them and open, close or switch them.
- Pictures of the tab you're watching, so your phone can show it. While your phone watches a tab, the browser shows a bar saying it is being debugged; when you stop, the tab goes back to normal.
- Your taps, scrolls and typing from the phone, which are passed into that page.
- Cookies for the one site you open on your phone, so the phone's browser is signed in the same way as your PC.
- The email of the browser profile's Google account, only as a label so you can tell profiles apart on your phone. It isn't used to sign in or call any Google service.
- A random id stored in the extension, so your phone can tell your browser profiles apart.
All of this goes only to the PC Pocket app on your PC and to your own paired phone.
What the PC and phone apps keep
- On your PC, in
%APPDATA%\PC Pocket: your settings (theme, shell, idle timeout), the phones you've marked as always allowed, and a log of which phone connected and when. You can delete this folder at any time. - On your phone: your PC's address and pairing details, and your theme, so it can reconnect.
- Files, your screen, your clipboard and terminal output are sent between your PC and phone only when you use those features, and are not kept anywhere else.
Who can connect
A phone can only connect with the pairing code shown on your PC's screen, or with its own key if you've marked it as always allowed in PC Pocket. Connections without the right code are closed.
When you browse from your phone, those pages load through your PC's internet connection, so websites see your PC's connection, just as if you browsed on the PC.
Sharing and selling
We don't sell, share or transfer your data to anyone. We don't use it for advertising, for anything unrelated to controlling your PC from your phone, or to decide creditworthiness or lending.
This website
This website has no cookies or analytics. It loads its font from Google Fonts, and downloads come from GitHub, so those services can see your IP address under their own privacy policies.
Children
PC Pocket is not made for children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. The source code is public, so you can check what PC Pocket does yourself.
